Community Classes
These are general health and wellness classes focusing on the education of the general public.

Child Birth Education Classes

Our Goal is to help educate, empower, and prepare
expecting families for the birth process.

First Aid & CPR

The Heartsaver First Aid offered by Prosser Memorial Hospital is structured with required core sections which cover treating injuries, wounds, bleeding, seizures, asthma attacks, severe allergic reactions, burns and other sections train providers to assess every emergency scene and teach providers the proper use of protective equipment.

Two additional sections include Adult CPR, and Adult CPR and the use of AEDs.

The class is taught by an American heart Association Certified Instructor and includes an instructional booklet and completion card valid for 2 years.

A $$$$50 course fee is due at the time of service. Please contact the Education Assistant at (509)788-6034 regarding Class dates or for additional information.

Cardiopulmonary Resucitation (CPR)

Prosser Memorial Hospital offers the American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR program. Classes are availble to the public monthly or for private groups upon request.

Healthcare Provider Classes
These classes are for clincial care providers that meet state and federal regulations.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Prosser Memorial Hospital BLS Education Program teaches the basic of adult, child, and infant CPR as well as general use of an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator). Each class is taught by an American Heart Association Certified instructor and includes a CPR completion card, which is valid for two years.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

This course is designed to aid the pediatric healthcare provider in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently evaluate and effectively manage seriously ill infants and children.

In this course, the student will learn how to assess for evidence of respiratory and circulatory compromise, establish treatment priorities, and intervene when necessary to stabilize the child. The student will also review treatment of the respiratory and circulatory systems, management of cardiac arrest and arrhythmias and immediate post-resuscitation care.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

This course is offered to healthcare providers to increase their knowledge of appropriate management of cardiopulmonary emergencies in adults.
